Bale Runner – From field concept to commercial performer
The Bale Runner Trailer is the brainchild of Goondiwindi farmer Greg Mackay, who developed the prototype with the assistance of David Coulton. After successfully carrying 4000 bales of cotton without breaking a single bale over two consecutive season trials, the Bale Runner Trailer was recognised as a proven innovation. After learning of the Bale Runner Trailer’s initial field success, Tom Davis identified a product that could see significant improvements in bale handling efficiency for all cotton growers. He seized the opportunity further develop the Bale Runner Trailer, taking it from prototype to field-proven performer within 2 seasons.
